In this paper variant Nauheim II.2 of the late La Tène period fibulae is presented, specifically its typology, chronology, and distribution. The variant can be divided into two groups: larger and smaller. Some examples have a foot that ends with a protuberance; only two have a cord that is wound around the bow. A new dating is proposed for this variant: to the period LT D1b, or 100 to 70 BC in absolute terms. The new dating is based on closed contexts found at the sites of Pula, in Croatia and Trenčianske Bohuslavice in Slovakia where these fibulae were found with other material typical for this period. The majority of examples were found in settlements, but there are also examples found in sanctuaries and one from a necropolis. The largest concentration of this variant is in the Italian regions of Veneto and Friuli. Metal analyses were made on three examples: two from Pula and one from Vir pri Stični. These analyses confirm the new dating because they indicate that these fibulae were made of bronze. Key words: Italy, Germany, Austria, Slovakia, Slovenia, Croatia, fibulae of the Nauheim type variant II.2, typology, chronology, area of distribution.

Željeznodobne fibule s nalazišta Četvrt Sv. Teodora u Puli / Iron Age fibulae from the site of St. Theodore's Quarter at Pula1912 •
Presented in this work are fibulae unearthed in the zone surrounding the temple of Hercules located in the vicinity of the freshwater spring. These fibulae were discovered either in the untouched layers on the slopes of a hillock at Pula, or in alayer of fill that served as a base for a drainage layer consisting of amphorae, which was erected in the third quarter of the 1 st century BC. These fibulae encompass a period of time from the 6th to the middle of the 1 st century BC. They were typologically determined, and each type is accompanied by data regarding its phases of existence, as well as location. The spread of most types was shown with the help of a chart. The possibility that a prehistoric sanctuary existed in the area around the freshwater spring even before the erection of Hercules’ temple was likewise explored.

On the chronology of the Late Pre-Roman Iron Age in eastern Germania in the light of selected types of brooches2020 •
On the basis of selected types of supra-regional brooches (A.65, Nauheim, Schüsselfibeln, A.18), an attempt was made to check whether they appeared in the eastern part of Germania in the same chronological rhythm as in their home zones. The service life of A.65 brooch and post-oppidial forms A.18 north of the Carpathians corresponds to the chronology in the primary distribution zone, no significant differences can be seen. Another picture-obtained, however, from a small number of finds-is drawn for Nauheim type brooches, which seem to remain in use a little longer in the zone between the Carpathian Mountains and the Baltic coast, until the younger stage of the LT D2 phase. Similarly, bowl-shaped brooches (Schüsselfibeln), probably made mostly in local workshops, were worn in the north for several decades longer than in the zone south of the Carpathian Mountains. In Pomerania they came into use probably slightly earlier than in the area of Przeworsk culture and probably went out of fashion a little faster. This indicates a slightly different rhythm of stylistic and fashion changes between southern and central Poland (Przeworsk culture) and the north-the region of the lower Vistula and the Gulf of Gdańsk. To naznačuje rozdílný rytmus stylistických a módních změn mezi Pobaltím, resp. regionem dolní Visly a Gdaňského zálivu, a oblastí převorské kultury v jižním a středním Polsku. pozdní doba laténská-pozdní doba předřímská-chronologie-spony-převorská kultura-importy

Late La Tène and Early Imperial Fibulae from the Iapodian Territory / Kasnolatenske i ranocarske fibule s japodskog prostoraThe unpublished fibulae from the Iapodian Collection of the Archaeological Museum in Zagreb come from several sites, mostly situated in the Lika region. The paper presents fibulae from the 2nd and 1st cent. BC. Although the information about the context of most finds is lacking, a few finds of previously unknown or rare types allow us to complement the distribution maps. Fibulae are used as markers of the network of regional contacts that shaped the material culture of Iapodian communities in the decades preceding the Roman conquest. In the same vein, early imperial Aucissa fibulae prove that the life continued even after the establishment of Roman authority.
The book contains a presentation of all preserved archaeological finds discovered in 1890 in Novo mesto on part of a road that until 1993 was the initial part of Ljubljanska cesta (Ljubljana road) and from then on the beginning of Seidlova cesta (Seidl's road), and of finds excavated in 1902 in the area of Okrajno glavarstvo (District board). The monograph also includes studies of some types of Late La Tène fibulae and a study on the relative chronology of the Late La Tène period. The author suggests for the cemetery, which till now appeared in the literature under the name Beletov vrt, a new name "Beletov vrt cemetery with its surroundings". It is composed of three main (Ljubljanska cesta, Okrajno glavarstvo and Beletov vrt) and two smaller parts (Hiša Vojska and Skabernetov vrt). The chapter on the history of research, including the transcriptions of all important written sources from the time before World War I, is devoted to this cemetery, as well as the chapter on its chronology. In the catalogue, on the plates and on some of the figures, the finds from the Ljubljanska cesta and Okrajno glavarstvo areas are presented; they are kept in the prehistoric and Roman collections as well as in the Coin Cabinet of the National Museum of Slovenia in Ljubljana. The studies of fibulae are devoted to the variants of the Nauheim type, appearing on the sites of the Mokronog Group in central and eastern Slovenia, to the Nova vas type fibulae and to the arched fibulae of the Idrija Ia type. A special chapter is devoted to the relative chronology of the Late La Tène period in the south-eastern Alpine area (the Mokronog Group and Magdalensberg in the Austrian Carinthia) and in northern Italy (Lombardy and the Veneto). 2008, Katalogi in monografije 39, 240 pages, 91 colour and b-w photos, drawings, tables and maps, 33 plates, 24 x 32,8 cm, hardcover, ISBN 978-961-6169-60-8.
